Modern Hosts Meeting With Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick

On March 9th, Modern hosted a meeting with Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick and Associated Equipment Distributors at our Bristol, Pennsylvania headquarters. The main item on the agenda was AED's continued campaign to address the ‪Skills Gap with government leaders. This gap separates students with technical skills with the well paying technician positions our industry is in desperate need. Our human resources department recently attended a summit on this issue in North Jersey at the request of Senator Cory Booker.

We took Congressman Fitzpatrick on an extensive tour of our facility and introduced him to different members of our technician team: some whose employment spanned decades of service to the company and some who have just joined us. We took this opportunity to discuss the impact distributors like Modern have on the local economy and that of our nation as a whole
